Write. Split. Share – Join the Standard.
This case study came together through a coincidence that's surprisingly common in startups: two people independently identifying the same problem.
When Samuel, the founder of RAIIVO, reached out to me on LinkedIn, I immediately recognized the challenge he was trying to solve. Some time earlier, I had explored the idea of a split sheet platform myself, even building a prototype and sharing my thoughts publicly. What I didn't know was that someone on the other side of the Atlantic had already gone beyond the concept stage and was actively building a solution. Bravo!
That solution became RAIIVO.
The conversation caught my attention not because of the coincidence, but because the problem is real. Split sheets are one of the most important pieces of documentation in music publishing, yet they're frequently overlooked, delayed, or never completed. The result is confusion around ownership, inaccurate metadata, and unnecessary friction throughout the royalty chain.
That's why I wanted to share RAIIVO's story. The company is tackling a largely invisible problem that affects songwriters, producers, and publishers alike, with the goal of making rights management more organized, transparent, and reliable from day one.

As we all know, the music industry runs on constant back and forth between teams and individuals. It’s a game of collaboration. Songwriters, producers, artists, and publishers work together to create songs that eventually generate royalties around the world. Yet one of the most important documents in that process: the split sheet, is often overlooked.
RAIIVO was built to solve a common problem in music publishing: once a writing session ends, split sheets are often forgotten, left unsigned, or never created in the first place. What seems like a small administrative step can create major issues later, from incorrect metadata to delayed registrations and royalty payments.
RAIIVO provides the infrastructure needed to create, sign, and manage split sheets from the moment a song is written. Rather than functioning as another creative tool or PDF template, the platform focuses on the operational side of music publishing, helping ensure that ownership information is captured correctly and efficiently.
Today (June 2026), RAIIVO is piloting its solution with major publishers in Mexico and supports more than 300 songwriters and producers across eight countries.
RAIIVO streamlines the split sheet process from creation to signature and long-term management.
When a songwriting session ends, collaborators can create a split sheet directly within the platform. Co-writers receive the document digitally and can review and sign it without the need for printed paperwork, email chains, or manual follow-ups.
Once signed, the split information is stored securely and remains accessible for future reference. Publishers can monitor their catalogs, track songwriter activity, and manage ownership records from a centralized system.
The platform serves both creators and publishers, offering products tailored to the needs of each group.
